AutoGard vehicle service contracts (VSC) are exactly the same type of contract sold in dealerships nationwide, but provide the best possible coverage at a much lower price (usually $1,000 cheaper than dealerships), backed by A-rated insurance companies.

The extended warranties and vehicle service contracts sold by dealerships are almost always marked up an extra $1000 or more, to make up for the lack of profit made by the dealership on the actual vehicle itself. The insured exclusionary contract used by AutoGard provides the best possible coverage available, exactly like the “platinum” coverage offered by dealerships. In short: We cost less because we skip the unnecessary dealership commission, while we cover the same or more than any other warranty on the market. AND, we don’t use hard sales tactics.
AutoGard was created by agents, for agents, and their clientele. Over the past few years, Property and Casualty agents around the country have seen a flurry of new competition–whether from online insurance companies or from dealerships.
In an effort to compete and win business back, many property and casualty agents conducted exhaustive research in the Finance and Insurance (F&I) industry. At the same time, these agents partnered with experts in the field of F&I to determine where the competition is vulnerable.
That’s where AutoGard comes in: it’s a turn-key solution for insurance agents of all shapes and sizes that is a significant revenue generator. Insurance agents are a natural referral source for recognizing when a customer could be a good fit for a vehicle service contract. Any insurance agent worth their salt is one of the first people on the planet to know when their customer is buying–or has bought–a different vehicle. AutoGard provides a simple-to-refer, quality product that is purposefully priced to compete exceptionally well against the competition.
The research revealed that most consumers would prefer to buy an extended warranty from a person they trust–such as their insurance agent–than from an online website. The research also showed that most people don’t like heavy-handed sales tactics, such as those used in many dealerships.
There’s a reason for these “hard” sales tactics at dealerships–they are usually required in order for the customer to agree to spend thousands of dollars on extended warranties. Because auto dealers don’t make very much profit when they sell a vehicle (the auto industry is VERY competitive, and most dealers only make about 3% profit off the actual vehicle sale), they are forced to look elsewhere for profit sources. Hello, vehicle service contracts!
These inflated prices at dealerships or banks or credit unions (they’re in the same boat as dealers) aren’t the result of evil scheming to rip off consumers. High-priced extended warranties are just a fact of life in those industries. And it’s those inflated prices of vehicle service contracts that cause some people to say they’re not worth it. The truth is, many consumers would benefit from a fairly-priced extended warranty that provides excellent coverage and claims adjudication. And that’s where AutoGard comes in.
AutoGard takes the process of enrolling in a VSC and puts it into the hands of a capable trusted advisor, making the process simple, painless, and above all, affordable. If the customer has already purchased a vehicle service contract, it is no problem to cancel that contract for a full refund. (Consumers are typically given 30 days to cancel a vehicle service contract purchase and still receive a full refund.)
AutoGard has partnered with an experienced VSC administrator, who is backed by an A.M. Best, A-rated billion dollar insurance company providing the financial strength to adjudicate all qualified claims. This partnership allows for pricing that saves customers an average of $1,000.00 per contract, for the same or (usually) better coverage.

Agents contracting with AutoGard have the ability to earn significant revenue through multiple revenue streams.
The first revenue stream is attained by enrolling the agents existing clients into the AutoGard VSC program.
Secondly, agents can earn additional income by recruiting other agents into the program underneath them. If the agent underneath the top agent enrolls a client into the VSC program the agent above them will make an override.
Thirdly, a revenue stream can be accomplished when the second tier agent recruits an agent underneath them. When that third tier agent enrolls one of their clients into the (VSC) program the top tier agent will earn an additional override for a total of three revenue streams.
Research shows 76% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. Research also shows that 62% of Americans have less than $1,000.00 in savings and 21% don’t even have a savings account.
That being said, the average vehicle repair cost is between $2,500.00 and $3,000.00. Obviously, an unforeseen average vehicle repair cost could be devastating to the average American family.
AutoGard bridges that gap between price and trust.
I purchased my wife’s car on 7-26-2017 and purchased a VSC (vehicle service contract) for up to 100,000 miles from the dealership on the same date for $2,787. OUCH, I had no idea until I looked today. I called, quoted and BOUND my VSC today with AutoGard, same warranty to 100,000 miles, all in about 10 minutes. I purchased the AutoGard warranty for $1,729, which is a savings of $1,058!!!!!!!!! I paid over the phone with AutoGard, AutoGard emailed me the vehicle service contract within 5 minutes. Easy and done! Unbelievable how easy I just saved myself $1,058. OK, now I am excited!!!
When we were buying our car, the finance guy at the dealership made us feel a lot of pressure to buy a warranty that would have cost us about $9000. They, of course, only told us what the additional monthly fee would be - we had to total it up ourselves and were shocked! When we found out that we could get all the parts of the warranty that we wanted from AutoGard for less than 20% of the dealer’s price, we couldn’t believe it. Not to mention, the rep from Auto Guard was so nice and low-pressure! Thanks, AutoGard!
I was in the process of relocating to Oklahoma and purchasing a vehicle. I had no idea where to start. After arriving at a car dealership I found the truck I wanted and I was very excited. But the buying process was not so exciting. They were forcing me into a warranty wrapped in the buying package. Now, of course they couldn’t do this but they did. So I called AutoGard and they answered every question I had. They even walked me through the process of how to complete my vehicle transaction and how to deal with the car dealership. I purchased a warranty from AutoGard that was ten times better than the dealer. I’m so happy with my new truck and my warranty. AutoGard and their team are one of a kind. Thanks AutoGard!!
When I purchased my Accord I knew I was putting high miles on and was concerned about the used car holding up over time. AutoGard gave me the peace of mind I was looking for at a third of the price I was quoted at the dealership.
I recently purchased a used vehicle along with an extended warranty plan through a reputable dealership in my state. By switching to an AutoGard policy that was offered by my insurance agent I was able to get even better coverage and save $2,000 over the life of the policy!!
What a great warranty!!! I took my car to the shop and the mechanic told me he had never seen a vehicle service contract cover wear and tear for seals and gaskets. He replaced my rear main seal and oil pan gasket and all I paid was my deductible. I was super excited at the money I saved purchasing the AutoGard warranty and now I’m even more excited. Thank you AutoGard!
A manufacturer’s warranty is free and comes with the vehicle. An extended warranty expands and enhances the manufacturer’s warranty. AutoGard is an exclusionary extended warranty, which means it covers the most components possible.
We offer the same or better coverage than any dealer with an average savings of $1,000.00. Our claims are handled by the same professional adjudicators used by hundreds of dealers nationwide, so your customer experience is just as good as if you’d bought an extended warranty (also known as a VSC) from a dealer.
We accept all major credit and debit cards via our secure SSL process, and monthly payment options make AutoGard easy to afford if you don’t want to pay all at once.
What sets AutoGard apart from other extended warranties (also know as VSCs) is that it is ‘exclusionary coverage’. This means that it is the best possible coverage available anywhere. The AutoGard contract lists consumables (like tires, wiper blades, etc) as part of a list of things that are not covered if they break. That’s why it’s called exclusionary coverage, because only the items NOT covered are listed in the contract. Everything else that is not listed is covered! This is a big deal. Most extended warranties from dealers are the opposite of this; they only list the items that ARE covered.
Since the AutoGard vehicle service contract (VSC) is an exclusionary contract, it covers everything on your vehicle except the short list of items that are specifically excluded. In short, AutoGard covers as much or more than anyone else’s extended warranty…period.
No, the proper name is vehicle service contract (VSC), but the commonly-used term is extended warranty. They are exactly the same thing. (On the other hand, a manufacturer’s warranty is included in the price of the vehicle, and IS different.)
The make of the vehicle, the mileage, and the term of the contract.
Not if you are within the time and mileage limits of your vehicle’s manufacturer/factory warranty. If your vehicle’s factory/manufacturer warranty has expired, then you will need to get an inspection.
Take your vehicle to any ASE certified technician—they can perform the certification/inspection for you.
Claims are handled by our professional, certified adjudication specialists from 7 AM to 5 PM Central Time, Monday through Friday. The average hold time is less than one minute. Roadside Assistance is baked into every AutoGard vehicle service contract, and is available 24/7, 365 days a year. To file a claim or get roadside assistance, call 866-217-5309.
Yes, you can transfer your AutoGard extended warranty. A fee and inspection may be required.
No problem. The steps to cancel your existing extended warranty are required by law to be listed in the contract itself—let us know if you have questions on this. If it’s been less than 30 days since you purchased the other extended warranty, then you will receive a full refund. If it’s been more than 30 days, then the refund is pro-rated accordingly. Refunds are issued by check if you bought the vehicle outright; if you took out a loan to purchase the vehicle, then the refund will be applied to your loan balance. Either way, it is money back in your pocket.
